How Orange OYS Ltd collects and uses personal information.

This policy explains how Orange OYS Ltd (“Orange OYS”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit orangeoys.co.uk or contact us.

1. Who we are

Orange OYS Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 12886275. Our registered office is Temple Chambers, 3–7 Temple Avenue, London EC4Y 0DT.

We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about it at info@orangeoys.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

  • When you use our enquiry form: your first and last name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the type of enquiry and your message.
  • When you email or call us: your contact details and anything you choose to tell us.
  • When you visit the website: like any website, the services that deliver our pages and files receive your device’s IP address and basic technical information, such as your browser type and the pages requested. We do not use analytics or advertising tracking.

3. How we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss sites, planning, investment, partnership or property management with you. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or, where your enquiry relates to a contract you may enter into with us, on taking steps at your request before entering into it.
  • To run and protect the website. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the website available and secure.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as keeping business records.

We do not sell your information, and we will not add you to a marketing list.

4. Who we share it with

We use these service providers, who process information on our behalf:

  • EmailJS, which delivers messages sent through our enquiry form to our inbox.
  • Microsoft 365, our email provider, which stores the emails we receive.
  • Google (Firebase Hosting and Cloud Firestore), which hosts this website and its content.
  • Providers of files our pages load: Google Fonts (typefaces), OpenStreetMap (map), unpkg and jsDelivr (code libraries) and Google (partner icons). They receive your IP address when your browser requests these files.

We may also share information with our professional advisers, or where the law requires us to.

5. International transfers

Some of these providers are based, or store information, outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If it does not lead to an ongoing relationship, we delete it within 2 years of our last contact. If it does, we keep records for as long as the relationship lasts and for up to 6 years afterwards, to meet our legal and tax obligations.

7. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict how we use it. You can also object to how we use it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. To make a request, email info@orangeoys.co.uk. We normally respond within one month, free of charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us.
